I tried e Harmony; that lasted a whopping three days.
Also, don’t assume you’re the only one who should ask questions…allow your date to ask questions as well!
But it’s not, and too many ten-outta-tens can’t find the connection they’re looking for.
This is what inspired Sex & the 6ix, a dating column we hope will bring Torontonians together. We’ve partnered with Canada’s leading dating and relationship expert Jen Kirsch. Magazine’s Shinan Govani, her witty, conversational dating advice has graced the pages of ELLE, Women’s Health, Teen VOGUE, Cosmo, Globe and Mail and she is often seen on news and entertainment shows including Canada AM, Breakfast Television, Global’s The Morning Show, Cosmo TV, e Talk and more. So here’s how it works: each week Jen will choose two people from submitted applications who she thinks may have some chemistry.
The three that Derek shared in the video are all great, funny and original messages that will not only get her excited to reply, but also shift the conversation to topics that are beneficial for creating attraction. Tinder isn’t the most sincere and conversational dating platform out there, so if you want to grab her attention, being funny is the way to go.
If you’re interested in creating your own messages though (which I encourage) there’s a few things you should remember. If you’re messaging the exact same thing as everyone else, you’re going to wind up at the bottom of the pile. Most guys are too scared to “rock the boat” with their messages. Save your deep, interesting conversation for more mature sites like e Harmony or Match.
